Death of Me 04:27
To whom it may concern I promise I will do better The point of no return We passed it a while ago When will you ever learn? A question you always ask me Might make it out alive But you’ll be the death of me Release me today And I’ll fade away Just you wait and see You’ll be the death of me. To whom it may concern your heart is in the right place You give me everything But you ask nothing of me When will I ever learn? A question I’m always asking To whom it may concern You will be the death of me Say you won’t If you will Say you won’t If you will If I go By your will Say you won’t If you will.

Spark 04:00
How much more can you take before it all comes crashing down on you today? I’ll tell you what you want to hear, if it will make this conversation disappear Try to disarm 'Cause this is not a false alarm You are the brightest spark You light the fuse Someday I’ll drop the bomb And it will blow up on you So now what more can I say to make this awkward situation go away? How much more can I take before it all comes crashing down on me today? Try to disarm 'Cause this is not a false alarm This is not a false alarm.
3.
Dizzy 04:04
Back and forth and side to side My head is spinning ‘round Couldn’t stand up if I tried I’m falling for you You see me in a new light I take a shot in the dark You make me run in circles Round and round And when you drop out of sight You always leave your mark We run around in circles Round and round Falling head over heels Down and down, I go All mixed up, spin your wheels Round and round, we go I’m so dizzy, spinning ‘round I fell for you again Got my feet back on the ground Knock me over Pick me up and let me lean on you.
4.
A Ghost 03:49
Heard your voice From a distance Was it the wind Or just my memory? Close my eyes And I see you As you were In our younger days Did you know If I could reach you You could stay Cradle to the grave You look like you've seen a ghost The light’s on but nobody’s home I’ve been buried somewhere in your head Deep in thought and left for dead (they said) In your eyes Something’s missing Feels like you’re A million miles away Hope you know If I could reach you You could stay Cradle to the grave
5.
Temporary 04:04
I’ll always wait for you to make up your mind Still holding on 'cause you need more time Take it slow, but don’t forget Everything is temporary It’s never too late for regret When you’re out of time The better days will come and go You’re killing time, but you don’t know It’s not too late for you to come back around Still holding on, but you need more time Your life is like a one way street It you turn around, you might see me You're killing time, but you don't know
6.
Last night I wrote you a letter to say all of the things I should have said to you so long ago Read between the lines and you’ll see I’m sorry for everything I messed things up again I’ll never learn From my honest mistakes Pulled all the stops And watched my bridges burn You weren’t born yesterday I mess things up When will I ever learn From my honest mistakes Pulled all the stops And watched our bridges burn You won’t return You weren’t born yesterday Today I mailed you a letter, I don’t think you will reply, but now you know I’m sorry for everything
7.
You don’t know me as well as you thought You aim to please, so give it your best shot And everything you said Still lives inside my head Repeating till I’m dead I’m not ready, you’re still unprepared Slow and steady, take me anywhere A passenger on your train of thought Can you drop me off at the next stop? And everything you said Still lives inside my head Repeating every day It never goes away Now you say you doubt it, so can we talk about it? Like an airplane falling from the sky You’ve been crashing, flying way too high You don’t know me as well as you thought You aim to please, so give it your best shot So you thought it over, and with full disclosure You would never doubt it, so can we talk about it?
8.
Just Pretend 03:41
Left a light on By the front door To let you know I’m still around when you get home I couldn’t take it And so I just had to break it Can’t even fake it When I know that I won’t make it Just pretend you don’t want to know Put a candle In your window Blow it out if you decide to run away Just pretend you don’t want to know, 'cause I don’t have anything to show And when you go to sleep tonight, please don’t turn out the light
9.
Slowpoke 04:02
I thought I heard you say There’s nothing in your way So little Blink and you’ll miss me Come find me Someday I want to stay That’s all I want to say I want to stay with you You save the day You take my breath away I want to stay with you Tell me what’s on your mind Take one day at a time So fragile I’m always broken You’ll fix me One day In good time We’ll be fine Falling over Hold me closer
10.
No Mind 04:05
Turn me inside out Every single day Gonna set you free Cast a shadow of doubt Will it ever change? I should tell you... I’m letting go of holding on Set it aside, until it’s gone I’m getting old, I’m out of time Leave it behind And pay no mind The same old song keeps playing I’ll sing a different tune It’s all up in the air Every single day Gonna set you free You will never play fair It will never change I should tell you... And I don’t care See you there I don’t care See you there Disrepair is everywhere and I don’t care
11.
Disappear 04:15
I thought you were gone Could not carry on But here you are today Standing right in front of me Now, it’s all a blur I can’t say for sure But you’re not yourself Are you under someone’s spell? The look in your eyes Says ‘no more goodbyes’ You won’t run away Because, you’re here to stay I know this is all a dream It seems so real to me You’re just a memory Of something that could never be My one and only friend, stay with me ‘till the end Don’t want to disappear, but I know we can’t stay here.

about

The songs on this album reflect on the many ways 'distance' has impacted us all over the last few years.

I hope these songs might somehow help bring me a little closer to everyone who hears them, even if just for a few moments. I like that idea. It gives me some nice, warm feelies.

Also, I like writing songs and sharing them…so there’s that too.

Some nice things people have said about this album:

"For every deliciously dense and reverb-drenched riff in its spaced out compositions, the band presents an irresistible chorus or equally catchy instrumental melody. As such, Distance is about as accessible as grunge-tinged gaze gets, without succumbing to blandness or losing the genre’s essential ethereal properties." - Jesper L., Sputnik Music (bit.ly/3S3xahw)

"...combin[ing] shoegaze, fuzzed out walls of guitars, big melodies, emotion, and 90s influenced alt-rock/post-grunge, with hooks to go along with it. This is right in the wheelhouse of any fan of the large wave of upcoming nugaze bands, and there is no reason why Slowly shouldn't shoot right to the top of the crop with the right exposure." - Jason Gordon, Releasewave (bit.ly/3RnWcqK)

"one of those albums that gets better with every listen, with consistently great melodies revealed through the haze" - Alex Harford, Holeinmyhead (bit.ly/3H9Yc39)
