Drop 04:50
What are you waiting for? I’m still standing here without an answer What are you waiting for? Somehow you’re still here without a question Who are you calling Is anybody there? And no one answers You're not the only one Staring at the sun Will we ever learn our lesson? You’re not the only one Who dropped a loaded gun Will we ever learn our lesson? When will you need me? Tell me, I’ll be there without a question How will you know me? Tell me and I swear that I will answer The same everywhere The same as the last time I stepped out of bed.
2.
Watermark 06:11
When you wake from your sleep Do you come back to me? Whenever you fall asleep You live another life Who are you in your dreams? Who will you be tonight? What did you whisper in the dark I can’t hear you, are you even there? (So I) Looked below the high watermark Now I see you everywhere But are you really there? Is this your reality Or just another dream? When you wake from your sleep Will you come back to me? Whose song are you singing? I don’t know.
3.
It’s getting late can’t stay awake forever It’s getting late can’t stay awake forever You just can’t wait Won’t stay up late, you tell me You just can’t wait Won’t stay up late, you tell me You fell asleep but I didn’t notice Talked to myself for a little while Still catching up from a passing moment Ask for an inch and I’ll give a mile Now, close your eyes It’s no surprise, I see you So, close your eyes It’s no surprise, I see you When you’re dreaming I’ll stay silent Promise you that I’ll be quiet.
4.
I’ll be okay when you tell me I’m no longer bleeding, you’re coming clean Always outside, look into my eyes see what I see, be here with me Please watch your step It’s a long way down Fall into place As you hit the ground Keep it inside, safe and sound I’ll always find a way to be here with you.

about

The rough demos of these tracks were initially developed during the writing sessions for Slowly's 2019 album 'Reveal'. Charlie thought the album was getting a bit long, so he shelved these 4 song ideas and kinda forgot about them.

While working on a new Slowly album (11 brand-spankin'-new tracks, coming soon!), Charlie decided to revisit these tracks, flesh them out and release them before putting finishing-touches on the new album - because, that's the kinda guy he is this month.

This EP could maybe be considered a companion piece to Reveal?...maybe like the musical equivalent of one of those fancy post-credit movie scenes that are all the rage these days?...or, like, maybe these songs could be considered some 'super awesome bonus tracks' for the Reveal album...just, released on a separate EP instead of being bundled with the original album? Sure, why not?...let's go with that!
